Ticketing day checklist
A calm checklist for a concert ticket sale in Korea. Every sale has its own rules, so read the official notice from the ticketing site and the agency first. The official notice always wins.
Days before
- Read the official notice: dates, times in KST, ticket limits per person, payment methods and any fan club verification.
- Make or check your account on the ticketing site. If the site asks for identity or membership checks, finish them early.
- If there's a fan club presale, complete the membership verification before its deadline. It often closes before the sale opens.
- Convert the opening time from KST to your own time zone, and set two alarms.
The day before
- Log in on the device you'll use and make sure you stay logged in.
- Check your payment method works for this site and has enough room.
- Decide your plan: which grades, how much you'll spend, together or alone, and a backup choice.
10 minutes before
- Close other apps and tabs. Use a steady connection.
- Open the sale page and watch the server time, not your phone clock.
- Don't refresh over and over right before the open. Many sites treat that like a new visit, and it can put you further back.
At the open
- Click once when the server clock hits the time. If you get a waiting line, stay on the page.
- Type the captcha carefully. A typo costs more than a slow second.
- Pick seats from your plan without hesitating. If a seat is already taken, move to the next one.
- Finish payment before the time limit on the page.
After
- If you missed out, watch for cancellations (취켓팅) when unpaid seats come back.
- Never buy from scalpers. It's risky, and resale for profit is against the law in Korea. See why.
